Free or Scholarship-Supported Classical Guitar Lessons

CalMuse Foundation offers free or scholarship-supported classical guitar lessons for kids and teens in Diamond Bar, Brea, Walnut, and Rowland Heights. Apply online for scholarships; instruments available for rental. Community recitals & school partnerships.

After-School Guitar Program (Diamond Bar)

​CalMuse Foundation partners with local schools to bring classical guitar education directly into after-school programs. Our goal is to make high-quality music instruction accessible, fun, and inspiring for every child.

  • Who it’s for: Elementary and middle school students

  • What’s included: Group guitar classes, instrument rental options, and a semester-end recital

  • Scholarships: Full and partial scholarships available for low-income families

  • Schedule: 6–12 week sessions during the school year

  • Community Impact: Students gain confidence, musical skills, and opportunities to perform for family and community

Diamond Bar City Guitar Classes

In partnership with the City of Diamond Bar Recreation Department, CalMuse Foundation offers affordable group guitar classes open to the public.

  • Who it’s for: Children, teens, and adults (beginner–intermediate)

  • Location: City of Diamond Bar community facilities (as scheduled by the city)

  • What’s included: Weekly group lessons focused on fundamentals, ensemble playing, and building a love for music

  • Registration: Families register directly through the City of Diamond Bar Recreation Guide

  • Community Impact: These classes make guitar education accessible to local residents and connect students with citywide arts initiatives

Private Lessons & Scholarship Program

CalMuse Foundation provides high-quality private lessons in classical guitar. Our faculty includes professional musicians with advanced degrees and performance experience.

  • Who it’s for: Dedicated students (elementary through high school) who want one-on-one training

  • Audition Process: Students may apply for full or partial scholarships by submitting a short audition. Successful applicants receive lessons at no cost or reduced tuition.

  • What’s included: Weekly private instruction, technique development, repertoire guidance, and performance opportunities

  • Scholarship Mission: Ensuring that talented, motivated students—regardless of financial background—have access to professional music education
